hey dont diss it aint easy doing it and it isnt dumb especially if you are trying what im doing which is code animating its alot more efficient but alot harder to learn, i cant actually animate normally so i dont know why im learning it... anyway!
He means its a big learning curve in simplet terms! Not that the people who do it are dumb lol... Much like web design, its just a short learning curve and your away.
Vic; you need someone to show you and it'll all make sense, or just type G-Max Tutorial on google, and download the free G-Max, (actually I dont think itstotally free now!) but there are many open source free animation programs out there that are easy to use if you cant get hold of G-Max. It looks daunting at first, because it isnt quite as intuitive as photoshop looks, but really Photoshop is alot more complex as it involves colour therory etc.
no do not use G-Max gah horrible program! use Blender the basic controls are much simpler and it is totally free and you can make things like these on it (NOTE: these weren't made by me) http://www.blender.org/cms/Gallery.55.0.html
