I real want to know if they do use that hyper threading what will they do with hyper transport? is that not basicaly the same thing?
No. They are two completely different technologies.
AMD's Hyper Transport Technology is a high speed Point to Point Link (BUS). Simply, instead of having one FSB (INTEL), AMD's HTT directly connects to the RAM, PCIE, AGP, Printer Port etc. at a high speed 2000MHz +.
Intel's Hyper Threading technology is like running one CPU as a Dual Core. It's Multithreaded, but many app's & programs do not support it just yet.
The Hyper Threading Technology is an add on like SSE3 is. Where as AMD's Hyper Transport Technology is part of the CPU Design.
so from what I am hearing is that Hyper transport is MUCH better than HyperThreading ? if so why is AMD wanting this technology? didn't AMD give it to Intell any way? ( I heard that some where.)
