64-bit technology shows very little of a performance boost over 32-bit
I remember seeing benchmarks in Linux about a year ago that showed 50-100% speed increases in several applications. They also noted that the OS itself ran a bit quicker.

Yep. The more we move into 64 bit, the more difference we'll see. The only reason that people say there is little difference is because some of the stuff they are running is 32 bit, or is not fully optimized 64 bit.
you're right there are only using 64 bit extensions and not completley 64 bit. But the Pentium M's are quite Good in comparison to Athlon/Turion too bad the Regular pentiums arent as good in a price to performance and perfomance per watt comparison on the desktop market. But im sure intel doesnt mind when there are people who havent even heard of their competition.
