Doh :pinch: I should've bought an FX-55, instead of this FX-53. Oh well, I'm still satisfied. I think I'll wait for the FX-57, San Deigo core.
Well, that FX-53 is still a wild CPU. The San Diego Core is looking better by the day with the DSL Technology, SSE3 & better Memory Controller.
I would waite around even after the FX-57 comes out. That FX-53 does the job I'm sure ;)
Well, I'm looking @ the FX-57. i read some reviews on Newegg.com about the 1GHz Athlon 64 3500+ Venice. The reviews were GREAT, they said it came up to 3GHz OC and booted windows.
But, why is it so slow for the stock speed?

You mean 1GHz HTT for the Athlon 64 3500+ Venice Core.
The 3500+ is clocked @ 2.20GHz with a HTT speed of 1000 in DDR which equal's 2000 MHz.
Looking into getting the San Diego. But first I have to move into my new home, then I can see ;)
Yes, i hear the San Diego is nice for overclocking. Maybe I should upgrade.... :guh:
The Venice Core would probably OC a little better than the San Diego. The smaller the L2 cache the better OC you get, but I still prefer the 1MB L2 cache anyday.
I've seen proof that the 1MB L2 cache make a notisable difference in games like Far Cry 64 & DOOM 3. I'm sure there are a lot more on the list ;)
