Perhaps it will. Perhaps it might not. Remember, SLI is still in its beginning stages. I bet AMR will have just as many problems. I just hope both companies get it sorted out before consumers go bankrupt, trying to keep up with the latest of fads.

I wouldn't say that Crossfire is SLI ripoff, that is far from it. ATI has been using there Crossfire technology for a long time. The US & Canadian military have been using it for there virtual fighting & such.
Crossfire on paper looks & performs better than SLI, but I would like to see benchmarks though ;)
But, looks and benchmarks mean nothin'. I want real world performance, foo.
And this is where CrossFire shines. In Real World Performance. The AMD chipset supporting ATI's Crossfire runs a lot faster than Intel's Chipset running Crossfire.
This will make a difference in performance, but NVidia already has a SLI setup for Intel, so I say Benchmark AMD chipset against Intel's in Crossfire & SLI ;)
I like Intel chipsets for an Intel CPU... I dunno... I feel a little more comfortable and a little more stable with Intel chipsets. Nvidia chipsets are darn good, I like their performance and reliability. I'm itching to try one of these ATI chipsets. Via and SiS though... eh... ehh... I've never really... liked 'em... but... I haven't ever had any problems.
