hostgator.com is a really bad an not responsive host, my friend Salim always used to get suspended by them for various reasons, although I am not sure why you would be suspended
Get a good host (I was with www.bluehost.com) and they had free phone support (very good) and I called them free from skype, and also live chat, 24/7 always online; and they bump up their spec all the time; bluehost.com also support ruby on rails and are really cheap haha
The CEO's (Matt Heaton's) Blog is really great, and hes a great guy

Why do companies go out of there way to make customers angry? Have you noticed how many products and services seem like they were designed to frustrate the customer? This blog entry is going to be a rant. It won’t accomplish much except to make me feel better at the end Below are some products, services, or business practices that I feel are a complete slap in the face to the consumer.
So yeah, I really do suggest you check out Bluehost.com
