There has been quite a few studies over the years that boys and girls are different. Im not talking about sexual differences here witch are obvious but it is often stated that boys learn and think differently then girls. For a example in a typical school setting there seems to be more boys than girls in special education and LD and ED classrooms then girls. Why do you think that is.? It is also belived that boys tend to be more agressive and like violence more then girls do. I would like to hear what you all think about this and any more you can  add to this topic I would be willing to  read.

its true boys do seem to think different to girls but its confusing to think why the education thing will be linked to that younger boys are less responsible than girls but its wierd to think why..

It is always in the Media that Girls do better at school in general then boys, but in many cases it is not, aslo girls can be alot worse at bullying at victimiation, iv'e seen it happen; and it goes unnoticed; I really don't think there is that much of a difference, but in a western culture Girls mught be more applied at school, meybe they like order more; certainly out in the Middle East they are much less respected, and treated second in importance to men. The 20th century in Europe in the West has meant Women can vote, and have the same rights has men (which should be the case), and have the same rights to jobs, but some emoployers and occupations are largely male, not always because they are refused jobs, but because the job doesnt appeal to women, howvere, more women are getting in to Engineering and the like. For some this is a big issue, and in the Middle East, it is certainly an issue, but it all comes down to culture, and Islamic and Arabic beliefs that hold thing back.

Perhaps there is a biological difference between boys and girls brains but I don't think that can be proven yet. after all we are all humans. Maybe has something to do with the male testosterone  and female estrogen that makes males and females different. It would be nice if we could have a girl in the forums post on the issue.

Of course there is a biological diffrence, and it has been well proven already by various scientists and psychoanalysts.

Also interesting is the fact that in school, girls get better marks if their teachers are female, especially in math and round the other way...

I like thrillers and I'm a guy. Thrillers usually fit in with some of action though. Movies like the Bourne Identity probably come under the Thriller genre as well.

Atomic you are right boys think about sex.....girls dont lol.

But seriously boys do operate differently probably because of the different chemicals we share eg; testosterone. Makes us more aggressive. Girls have some other thing i cant remember =/ that makes them timid and girly.

But both have different aspects in which they excel boys (males) will generally be physically stronger woman will be weaker but excel in the mind (generally im not speaking about all the time).

But im not being sexist or anything but A man who has brains and say does a martial art will have beaten a woman in every aspect of life. He has training, disipline and strength. Although a woman martial artist who is also smart and say at the same level can still be beaten because of her lack in strength.

So in the end it always comes down to physical traits not the mental ones.

Women live longer, are more organised, and are able to multi-task better. They can often be more mature than men, generally speaking.

Guys are stronger because of more testosterone. The Soviet Union used to inject its female gymnasts with steroids (e.g. testosterone) = BIG muscles, smaller breasts and some facial hair. Great.

Women are also required in order for us to survive. Especially if we find a way to clone people. Then men will not be needed any more.

Another thing is if  there was no girls we wouldn't be able to reproduce. But that doesn't really fit into this topic. I think ggn and Andreyevich pretty much summed it up.
