No... uh... the article lists three manners in which Vista will support OpenGL, one of those is in much the same way XP does today....

I found some sellers for some parts of my pc, are they good or not enough?
ATI RADEON x700 PRO 256MB Seller price: 100$ shop price: 200$
ASUS P5ND2-SLI Deluxe Seller price: 140$ Shop Price: 190$
The Radeon X700 should go in favor of a Geforce 6600 GT or a Radeon X800 GT. Both of those cards perform much better, and if you want my honest opinion, the Geforce 6600 GT is a better buy.
As far as the motherboard, I'll agree with Predator in that you can find a much cheaper one than that.

You don't need a dual core for good gaming. In fact, some of the single core Athlon 64's are better, as long as you don't want to multitask.
Single-core chips can multitask just fine... they're just a lot slower at it. Also, dual-cores are so cheap these days... and seeing as how games will be multithreaded, I'd see a dual-core as an effective method of future-proofing the machine.

Thats from a local shop, comes to $1086.50 CDN without tax. The processor is also very overclockable so you can give it a good boost.

does athlon 3500+ beat Pentium D. 2.8ghz? they r like the same price
Quick answer - yes But, since the Pentium D is dual-core, it will beat the AMD when you have multiple things going. So, if you're a heavy multitasker on the computer, go with the Pentium D. If not, and especially if you want it for games, go with the AMD.

Is that Canadian?

I feel inclined to mention that the Pentium D 820 will perform just fine at any game (IE, with the same graphics card you won't be able to tell the difference without FRAPS), and it will perform faster in a lot of other things. Games are also jumping on the multi-threading train, so having a Pentium D might be beneficial.

so i dont know if i should spen like 1300 instead of 1000 and get an athlon 3800+ so it will last me for long, what you guys think?
Yeah, it would. I'd recommend going dual-core, whatever you do. The Pentium D is a good buy... but the Athlon 64 X2 3800+ is a better one.
well im gona go with athlon 3800+, geforce 6600gt. Any suggestions for a motherboard around the 150$ canadian or 125$ U.S. Also, would that processor need extra cooling?
I didn't read most of this topic, but if this is mainly a gaming rig and you have a limited budget get a 3000+ and buy a better video card. An Opteron 144 would be the best option if you are overclocking.
Also, no, it would not need extra cooling. The retail package will come with a HSF that will be fine.

Like Drew said, with your budget you should probably get either a 3000+ or Opteron 144 and overclock so you can invest in a better video card. And for the mobo I'd recommend an EPoX 9NPA+ Ultra.
I will get an athlon 3800+. For 4 reasons: Because it's better than pentium Because it's dualcore and I dont want to be upgrading every 6 months or so. Because I play games but not alot so a 200$ video card is more than good for me :D And finaly because you guys helped me alot since it would have taken me an eternity to look for the information i needed :D
