UK, August 14, 2007 - Fans of evilmegalomaniacs rejoice: EA is prepping an expansion pack for Command& Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars and it's all about baldy bad guy Kane.Scheduled for both Xbox 360 and PC, Kane's Wrath is shipping early 2008and features a new campaign, characters, gameplay modes and onlinemultiplayer maps.
Officially announced by C&C3 producer Jim Vessella on EA's newBattleCast Primetime show, Kane's Wrath centres around Kane and therise of the NOD during the Second Tiberium Wars, continuing through theThird Wars and beyond. According to Vessella, there will be new liveaction cinematics and "a few new characters for Kane to mingle with".
However, more importantly, the expansion features a never-before-seengameplay option called Global Domination. Explaining this new mode,Vessella revealed, "It's a game like Risk but on steroids, supportingthe C&C3 fiction with ion cannons, nukes and mammoth tanks, as youmove your armies round the entire world.
"When armies collide you will jump down into to that fast and fluidC&C gameplay that you know and love. When you come out these unitswill persist, allowing for a longer more global campaign."
Alongside this mode, EA is also planning to introduce more units, upgrades, powers and structures for each of the core factions. Pluseach faction is set to gain two new sub-factions that come with theirown modified units, powers and upgrades. Additionally, expect 24 newmultiplayer maps for online play.
All this content is planned for both PC and Xbox 360. However, consoleowners are getting another update in the form of the 'radialinterface'. This looks like a dial that can be brought up on the flyduring battles and used to issue commands, without having to trawlthrough multiple menus.
Vessella is pretty excited about the interface: "It allowsexponentially more speed and power to the user. When they are managingtheir building queues, it allows them to manage their base fromanywhere on the map and they never have to go back. This is our nextinnovation and we really think it's going to revolutionise RTS on homeconsoles."
Command & Conquer's development team is heading to the LeipzigGames Convention next week, so expect to hear more details on Kane'sWrath then.

personally i can't wait for the expansion i really enjoyed playing C&C3 Tiberium wars.
IMO this global domination isnt new at all (im afraid to say) It was in Red alert 2 when west wood ran the servers. As soon as EA took over the servers where Shut down and they just had tournament matches and cutom matches
