The Bargains Thread: if you see a good bargain on a PC game, here's where to post the name of the place selling it, together with the price (and whether incl./excl. postage) and the web address that links to the item, unless its one that's to be found in high-street stores nationwide. (i.e. no "Generic Shooter 4 is only £1 at the Pound Shop in Market Bosworth" - if it's in a retail store of which there are loads throughout the country and if you know the bargain to be of the same price in every branch, post away. Otherwise oddball bargains in oddball towns won't be much use to 99% of users browsing the thread.) Add a comment on the game, if you feel like. Every now and then, I'll prune: namely do a check through the thread, keep the prices up to date and delete any completely invalid bargains. Hopefully, this way, no-one will be disappointed by stumbling across an out-of-date offer.
Meanwhile the best current offer will be mentioned in the thread title to draw attention to it. Finally, a few quick pointers. Please stick to them, so that the thread stays handy for all:
When posting an offer for a game, make sure the same offer for the same game hasn't already posted. If your offer is cheaper, by all means post it.
If the offer you posted a while ago gets nudged off the thread at some point, don't take it personally or be offended - it's purely to keep the thread useable and make sure the 5 pages of bargains contain the best ones for everyone.
Avoid pre-orders too, unless they're awesome bargains and the site has a policy where it'll only charge you the price you pre-ordered the game at. Otherwise, it just gets too cluttered and online pre-order prices are constantly fluctuating wherever you go anyway.
Only post game bargains themselves, i.e. don't discuss them or the games concerned in this thread. Again, this is just for the sake of the thread serving a purpose.
I wont post all the offers our stores provide, but just as an example, Silent Hunter III costs 9.99€ here, which is quite less than the same in pounds.
