i want to oc my 3500 venice, and i have stock cooling right now...i don't know how far i can go w/stock cooling and i was wondering if there was any heatsink/fan out there for like...under 50 bucks? that would allow me to significantly increase the speed...or is it just not worth it spending that little money and i should wait to buy something better....
You can actually do a fair job overclocking a 3500+ Venice with the stock cooler. I'm running an older 3500+ Newcastle and can hit near a 200MHz overclock from stock without much effort.
However, $50 (I'm assuming USD here) can get you a pretty good cooler. I'd recommend something along the lines of a Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu.

The venices run really cool so you will still be able to get a nice overclock with stock cooling. If you want to push it farther I would suggest an XP-90 w/ a Delta High Speed Tri-Blade.
