I promissed that I will write short rewievs about games that I'm testing on our site. Well, the time has come, the first game is The DaVinci Code.
The Da Vinci Code
Make the things clear: This is only about the game. I don't want to talk about the historycal elements of the book, or the film. I could, but not that is our mein theme. So the game... Well for the first look it seemed just fine. The grephics is fair for a multiplatfor stuff, the textures are enough sharp, and the chararters also look good. Except Robert Langdon... He looks like someone who had been crashed whit a train, or something.
The puzzle elements are good, but most of them are from the book, so if you read that or have seen the film, you will know them for the first. That is by first real problem whit TDVC. That is ok that game was made, but what was the real audience? Those, who read the book, won't enjoy it, and those, who didn't and haven't seen the film yet, shouldn't start whit the game... Strange.
About the music and the sound: well, these parts of the game are very well. I liked Sophie's french accent, and Robert's deep organum was also nice.
The worst problem of all was the contorll. Terrible whit the keyboard.
