That stinks. They're talking about stuff like identity-theft, and hacking, right? My parent's were victims of idenity theft. Thankfully, they check their credit card statement every month, and make sure everything looks good. So, they caught it from the very beginning. But, if they hadn't....Not good.
Yes hackers and ID theft, it is very dangerous and im glad your parents got it fixed cause theres no telling what that person would have bought or done and your parent would be paying big time literaly.

Kinda. It depends on the credit card company. The one we use took it off the bill. But, they said what happened is how it is usually. There will first be a couple real small charges, just to see if it's being noticed. And then, if nothing happens, they throw the huge charge at it.

Yea, well nowadays the credit card companies are getting better with security and stuff like that which is good, but some CC companies have really bad securities. My sister in law got her identity stolen by someone in Italy! but the bank and credit card company got her her money back.
and yea josh that is true, and idenity theft can lead to bank number theft and then money theft. It is very scary getting your identity stolen i mean you never know what they will do and the situation with my sister-in-law at first the bank didnt believe her.
Frankly, if I wanted to steal an account number, or card number, I'd have no problem doing so. I personally think CC companies need to make it so that you can't see the numbers except for from one exact angle.
yea that is a good idea like a reflection kind of thing and eventualy a finger print thing and when u put ur finger on one spot the numbers appear. Yea that would be awesome and definatly cut down on theft.
