Sorry people, I have 'bad' language in here. But it's for a good reason.
I always hear people going nuts over these words that people call inappropriate. You know the ones like shit, fuck, etc etc. Why are these words considered foul? Because of the context in which they are used at times. You know what the problem with this is. Because this world has evolved into one where everyone loathes the word, not noticing the context in which it is used.
As above, take the word shit for example. The dictionary meaning is "excrement; feces" and the slang meaning is the one that is considered derogatory. This sland term is NOT it's primary meaning. So why are we automatically assuming that someone who says shit is an immoral craphole? Because we've been taught by our parents to neglect the parts of the english language that can be used in a derogatory context.
It's the same with the word fuck. It's a legitimate word that means "to have sexual intercourse with". Why is this such a bad word when used in that context? Because Moralistic dickheads like others, or maybe yourself are stupid enough to take it into the wrong context.
So if they are going to ban derogatory terms like shit and fuck from the household, why not ban sugar? We used to use that in the place of the word shit, or fuck. Why not just ban every word in the English language for that matter? This world might be a better place.
You see, this is what makes the English language so intricate. The only thing we as people have to do, is learn how to interpret the meanings that other people apply to these "derogatory" words and the context in which they are using them.
Whether you choose to do that or not my friend, is your choice. If we did learn how to interpret contextual meaning, we would have rid the world of 90% of those sick puppies out there, and there would be no need to ban such normal everday words.
Um I think you have a very good point. and this is a good thing to talk about. like for example there are two meanings of the word ass. one is donkey another is your butt. I guess It hard for some people to grasp the concept. I don't have anything wrong with using bad language it is just that its better to just not use it at all in some places.
I agree with what Tom said, you can use language like that but only in situations where you know people will not be offended. I to find it amazing that they find words like 'shit' vulgar. However I think it's more to do with the way you say it not what you say.
