i don't know if this is news to you guys, but i just got my dell magazine and i saw that dell is now using Amd processors in some of their computers. not in their XPS computers though. I would buy one right now if i could.

and now dell lets you buy all of the parts for your computer so you can build it yourself. its quite a bit cheaper, but its only for the XPS 700.

Yeah, they've slowly been starting to use AMD for quite a few months now.
They first started off selling just the plain AMD cpus, and now have finally started to put them in their comps.

Ah, well you don't need to worry about waiting for the XPS 700 to get AMD processors. Just go buy a Dellienware(Alienware). The brand Dell's are just for the Intel fanboyz.

Meh, I've always thought of alienware as overrated. You can get better parts at lower prices virtually anywhere else.

I agree.  I don't like their cases anyhow--too simplistic with botch front bezel doors.
