To be honest I don't care what company makes the software; for what I want to do, Apple has the best OS, for everything Creative Certainly, Microsoft has some great software too, which If i need it for the job, I use. I don't "rebel" against certsin software, I use both Windows and Mac Machines; Windows is good for some aspects of Web Design; especially with BootCamp; having said that, you only need to use OSX 10 for 2 weeks, get around the learning curve and I'll guaruntee you'll never switch back.
Microsofts sucess is like any other big companies, if not better, hang on, no child labour and no human rights violations in this Multinational Global Company...
Oh, and as for 99.9 %, all of the Creative Industry uses Macs, 30% of visitors to this site use Macs, and about 80% People use Windows PCs overall in the world.

Tabbed browsing brought me to Firfox over Opera (I tried both though), then adding all of the extensions improved it even more (like mouse gestures, fantastic!).
So now, even though I have the new IE beta installed, I still prefer Firefox because of the familiarity I have with it. So even though there may be a load of myths with it, unless someone tells me Firefox is going to blow my PC up, I'm sticking with it.
Overall Firefox is good, or maybe it varyies from diffrent computers. I noticed that it can proccess images ALOT faster then IE can. But some sites require IE to use the site because they built the site apone it.
I don't like sites that are specifically designed for IE; Sometimes when one browser slows right down, be it Opera, IE or even Firefox, I switch to another one and it works fine.
Non-agnostic Web sites "are saying, 'We're only interested in people if they use this browser,'" said Janet Daly, a representative for standards group the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). "That's a mistake on their part. The browser is a basic utility for people, and it's about having access to information regardless of who made that information or what authoring tool they used."
The call for Web authors to comply with standards comes as a new wave of competitors seeks to dislodge Microsoft from its perch as the No. 1 browser maker. IE is used by more than 85 percent of all Web surfers by many counts, and may go even higher. One recent study showed it with 95 percent share.
Look what this search reveals:

I am not "for" or "against" any browser, but believe whatever browser people use, web designers should not debate what consumers use, or stop them using it, they should just design with all browsers in mind.
The addons, yeah, well firefox has some things like that too, but if you visit those porn sites Jakob, its bound to happen, using IE so your browsing history is on a different browser eh?
I have never really got spyware, exes, malware etc unless im on some kind of dodgy site, namely those ActiveX ridden Crack sites and the like... anything thats too good to be true
