When he snags downtime from his schoolwork, Ryerson University student Brad Evans gabs with friends, grooves to Kanye West on his MP3 player and races virtual hotrods on his Sony PlayStation. All at the same time. Before you assume gadgets and video games fry the minds of the future, consider this: Canadian researchers are finding evidence that the high-speed, multitasking of the young and wireless can help protect their brains from aging.

In life there's onething that is for sure, hitting the happy medium with anything is the best way to go.Too much of one thing is gonna be bad.

Of course video games will fry the minds of our Kids if thats all they ever do.As gaming is becoming more advanced, its seems to be bringing a more of a  social aspect to the gaming community, now this is good.

I dont think its the games that screw up people minds, its the people who play em, on runescape a MMO this 1 guy hung himself because he took the game to seriously when he lost 11mil RS money.

like 800 said I believe that too much will harm however also like 800 said because gaming is becoming more advance (such as the use of online games) there is a more soical aspect to gaming and as the gaming culture grows their will be more and more reasons to hate or love video games, take this recent article on the BBC Technology website http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4849244.stm which says that the condition lazy eye can be improved by playing computer games, I have the syndrome lazy eye so this give me even more of a reason to play computer games

Perhaps it is not a case of games creating violent people, but a case of violent people liking computer games.

Im very interested in our evoloution as a race. Our history as Human Beings is based on violence and aggression ,its why we have adapted and learned to fit in with our enviroment,as time has gone on its not socially acceptable,as we are more intelligent and well educated.

But there are still a few were violence is a culture or it is in-built into a person. Our children of today need to stimulated by all kinds of stuff,Parents I think are to blame if you dont show any interest in your children, they will take too much interest in other things ie Video games and too much of one thing is always bad.

Video games today now are so much more realistic they can tap into our lives, there are people out there that are easily misled and its these guys that I think cause the problems,as we are not all the same. You would think that these goverment officials that make statements every now and again about video games ruining our children, need to stand back and look at the big picture.

Video Games are becoming more a ppart of out lives, and a community is developing around it. They should be even more socially accepted I think.

I love gaming. It makes me happy to know that I can take out my anger with bullets, and NOT be arrested for 30 years or more.

And to know that I can roll up the entire world on a glue ball while listening to cheery, crack-induced music. Mmm, brain-nutrients!
