How does politics have anything to do with gaming? If politicians are evil, then they are more likely to accept gaming - it has a more negative effect on health than other hobbies (e.g. sports), and benefits the economy greatly.
Not only will the gaming community exist in the future, but it will be even bigger. As current gamers get older, we will have an ageing population of gamers. New gamers will follow the older gamers - thus, there will definately be more gamers. Unless the politicians are dictators, of which there are very few in the world (and none in any developed countries), the end to the gaming "boom" will only occur once everyone (virtually) is a gamer.
As far as girl gamers are concerned, there are plenty of them around - I don't really see what the debate is about... Only a retard would be shocked to see that girl gamers exist.

I think that, if anything, the knowledge that girl gamers exist seems to enforce the stereotypes. I've seen many a "shut-in loser" show immense surprise that there are actually girl gamers around. I know that they are "shut in" because they are surprised to find out that girl actually play games. Furthermore, deaths amongst gamers is the highest that it ever has been before, and it's on the rise. This is attibuted to addictive or obsessive gaming. Something that "shut in losers" do.
Conclusion:
1. The more people I see that seems surprised that girls play games, the more "shut-in losers" I think exist.
2. The more people there are addicted to gaming, the more "shut-in losers" there appears to be.
3. The more MMORPG's are released, the more Shut-In Losers there will be.

By saying that Girl Gamers are not accepted, he is in effect not accepting them; there are many people here, and several girl gamers on this forum; nobdy seems surprised.
And as for politics, there is no point in me returning that comment, and Andreyevich, as good as your reply was, I don't think it is within his spectrum of knowledge to understand what you wrote; he was merely using it was a big word, to back up his unjustified and unfounded comment If you read back in this topic, you will see my opinions and debate. Politics can only affect videogames when it comes to Videogame legislation; and with diversity in gaming markets, female gamers are coming a more common occurance, just like in any other previously predominantly male activity.
Stereotypes in Games have also been widely discusses, search for MMORPG's on this forum and you will see the difference between someone who plays an RTS and someone who plays an MMORPG

It would be nice if someone could find that bbc poll about girls using more technology than boys. any how its good that girls are gaming. I think that trend will continue more and more until theres a equal mix of boys and girls in the gaming worlds.

Yes girls are weak gamers. I was playing Unreal Championship 2: Liandri Conflict the other night/day. And for the first time! A girl actually plays. 14 and she was crap.

The problem I don't like about playing with a girl is that. In the party, most men/boys might want to hug her, won't consentrate in the damn game and just chat shit all the time.
I can't play with a girl anytime, cuz I know a community with xbox gamers that also include girl gamers. But I don't wanna beg for a game not my style
Yea girls are increasingly playing games as much as boys which is good.
In my own personal experience i dont know any girl gamers.
But i rmember few years ago when i was 16 i went into Gamestop and there was a girl working there. I wanted to ask her about if they had some game. But i was so intimidated by her i just walked out of the shop lol. Dont get me wrong im a hit with the ladies but girl gamers are strange to me lol.
I have a girl in my clan for www.fhmod.org, and yea she sucks, but still it's so funny if she curses at me if I own her and then after the round she asks me how to improve her gameplay...
