A rig is a rig, whatever works for you

I was gonna get a Mac Mini just to try the Apple interface but seems I can just run linux or dress up xp instead.

From what I can see the pc is much faster for my uses.

Why Mac? I hate Macs, the OS overwhelms me with its bouncing icons and the thought I am helping Jobs. Buy a big kickass PC with two SLId 8800s and then worship it

I'd have thought most mac users are creative types rather than gamers so a pair 0f 8800's would be a biiiiig waste

They don't speed up Photoshop

Macs can be used for gaming too! Just not as many games...

You can play World of Warcraft on it, such as I do.

Also not all Mac users are the creative types. I mainly use my Mac for just basic computer usage. I sometimes will use Photoshop or Flash.

yah i'm not gonna lie, they are amazing for graphic design and such, but you just don't get the versatility with a mac that you would with windows/a pc...it just plainly wouldn't be any fun owning one, let alone for the average consumer who would use a computer for just web surfing and a few other things, macs don't come generously priced at around $300...not everyone can afford amazing computers

Wise choice

I'm a Linux user, but I don't mind Apple's Mac. Doubt I'd use one, but I don't hate them.
