I'm sick of the regular spam from your forums -- I'll check in when I want updates, thanks, or I'd at least like to be able to opt out of them. And I'm sick of not getting an answer to my requests for an opt-out option to the routine mass mailings. I've made forum posts, I've e-mailed support directly, and now I just want out.

How do I delete my account? Please, please just tell me how to do it, and then I'll leave you all in peace.

simply put you can't "sadly". this would cause multiple problems across the forums for numerous reasons. the main reason is that it woudl need to carry out various queries at a time which would clog the server a bit. but also every single post you posted woudl have to be assigned as a guest posting then the topic poster put as your name (which takes a while even with a straight query) but also is inpractical and if you ever change your mind is just annoying

to stop the emails is very simple. we deployed a opt-out system a while ago because of "complaints", simply go to prefrences and you'll see this

so set it to 0 and hey presto you won't get any more emails

if you still wish not to use your account you are free to do so, but deleting it is another matter. if you still get emails change your email address or something.

best of luck

to be fair (not speaking for the team) i myself find the emails annoying and setup my profile settings so I get emails only once per week by changing your email i meant in your profile. so basically the emails will fail to send. but the matter of fact is that the emails sent out do help increase posts and views and are an effective way to keep traffic. but as i said there is a way to opt-out and set how regular the emails are so tbh there's no reason to complain.

You may set it to do just that in your profile

UPDATE:

We are now pleased many users are happy with the service we provide and the opt in, and opt out systems.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to open a new support topic. Kind Regards, iVirtua Community Team.
