Thanks for all the advice but I still didn't get this question answered: Is it ok if there is a wireless network in my house but the server is hooked in directly with an ethernet cable?
I bought a 50 foot ethernet cable, an s-video cable, and a cheap nvidia graphics card. I'm going to put the video card in there so it has s-video output and vga output so I can hook it up to my t.v. by my xbox.
It would be kinda handy to connect all printers and s**t to one crappy old computer isntead of having one at every computer.. Easier to manage, maintain and stuff.
