It's official, Leapfrog is open to everyone now. If they get rid of classic spymac and don't want that format, I'm thinking someone should take all that coding and put spymac under new ownership of people who care for the community. Former spymac users should reunite and recreate what spymac used to be.

there are no plans to get rid of the classic section of spymac. The news, forums and blogs will continue to be there. If you are concerned about the community of spymac I invite you to participate as the content (if not the look) of the site is community driven.

also, I don't think spymac has been much of a rumor site for the two years that I've been there. Maybe it once was but IMHO that was long ago. Apple itself is much tighter with rumors than they were two years ago. Besides I'd rather read real news instead of rumors any day.

Some of the site's content was rather disturbing and should not have been there. It is turning into a myspace and I don't like it. C'mon, what happend to our community? It is like all whoever is at the upper management cares about is money. Why can they not keep the two apart?

Hmm well I guess its very user puched now, but the articles and news are a bit detached now, and the classic - leapfrog leap is a big "leap" which doesnt help. leapfrog is cool in its own right, maybe intergrated in to spymac classic with a more mac orientated design it can be better.
Ireally miss the unique terminology, features and feel of the "spy" aspects along with the metal mac design, as per my posts above.

I guess its up to the users to push the mac back in to it, and hopefully the leapfrog out. I eman, whats with the frog anyway? Hardy a corporate brand.

Yeah, im talking about leapfrog here, hardly nitpicking, and how the leapfrog and classic divide is really not a good thing.

Leapfrog is Spymac, its not a new site its a new version.

Are you just choosing to ignore that this is only the gallery part of Leapfrog?

leapfrog and classic divide

I never said they were separate sites, but they are certainly divided heavily. I think that could be damaging to spymac, and leapgrog really sends out the wrong message for the reasons i described in this thread.
