I've got in touch with Adobe Support but they've still not got back to me on it...
When I start Flash 8 on my main workstation the splash gets to the point where it says "Initializing fonts" then the program generates some sort of exception because I get a windows "Send/Don't Send" error report dialog. I've tried uninstalling all my fonts, reinstalling, removing all Flash registry keys and reinstalling, still get the problemo =/. Got flash running with all the same fonts on a slower P4 machine but it's bloody inconvenient as this is the only machine I run a dual monitor setup on (the others use the left monitor through a KVM) and I like to have dreamweaver on the right monitor and flash on the left and Photoshop running across the pair and constantly switching is annoying as my work is spread over 2 computers and alot of time consuming file syncing is needed.
I'd love to help but I really can't understand that, especially since it sounds like it's not a problem with your computer. Flash runs fine for me, sorry mate.
