I don't remember what other sites were open, I think it was just iVirtua and Mac GUI.

I only connected it to iVirtua because the pop-up was for some UK questionnaire.

And as I'm sure you know, Mac GUI is still ad-free except for a banner exchange with CoffeeDaze.

so how exactly are you making an ROI? I mean your putting in all that hard work but your not getting anything back? sounds like stupidity to me.

Though a personal project like this can become more in the future - it's certainly not stupidity - it offers a lot to it's creator - from the experience of running a site, skils aquired to meeting a few new people. People spend a lot on hobbies - and running a website is relitavely cheap You don't make much from advertising unless you drive your site for the sole purpouse of making money, anyway - and maybe the payment is what I said what it offers the creator... not a few cents from some dodgy PPC that decreases validity of the site anyway

I spend so much time with Mac GUI because it's fun and I enjoy seeing so many people visit my site and benefit from what I work at.

I haven't made a single penny off of it, but that hasn't stopped me yet. It's all work and no pay, and I love every minute of it.

Mac GUI has grown to be bigger than even my wildest dreams. If someone told me three years ago, that my Mac GUI site that I had on a free web hosting space was going to one day rival the offerings/features of Spymac 3, I would have replied, "Yeah, right. I wish..."

But look what I've come to today. Mac GUI has changed a lot, grown up, and has, I think, created a lasting impression on the Mac web, be it famous or infamous.
