iVirtua Media Group (iMG) To Launch Game Servers

London, UK – January 6, 2008 – iVirtua Media Group (iMG) announced today that it was would be launching a new gaming server in February (2008) with the UK’s number one LAN party organiser Multiplay UK.

The new server will allow gamers to play the popular first person shooter, Counter Strike: Source, in a multiplayer environment.   The server will be staffed24:7 allowing gamers from across the world enjoy the game in safe and secure environment.

The new initiative from iVirtua Media Group is to bring a plethora of gamers to its thriving online community iVirtua Forums.  iMG hopes to launch several other gaming servers later on in the year for a variety of online multiplayer games.

What is iVirtua Media Group (iMG)?
iVirtua Media Group (iMG) is made up of several parts including iVirtua Community, iVirtua Club and the soon to be released iVirtua Media. iMG is set to fully launch late next year when the next version of its community (v5) is to be released.

What is Multiply UK?
Multiplay UK is Europe’s gaming network organising major gaming events with over 1,000 gamers attending.  They also offer the best packages for clan servers allowing members of the gaming community to manage their own server.

What is Counter Strike: Source?
Counter-Strike: Source (also known as CS: Source or simply CS:S) is a multiplayer, team-based tactical first-person shooter, developed by Valve and Turtle Rock Studios. It is a remake of Counter-Strike, the 1999 modification of Half-Life. Built on the Source engine, the game was released in 2004 along with Half-Life 2.
