KishKish, makers of SAM (Simple Answering Machine) for Skype, have now added a lie detector feature to the mix, claiming to detect stress in the voice of your Skype caller, alerting you to any bending of the truth.
Quote:
It's your $49.95 a year, but we're thinking it'll be another decade or two before voice stress analysis can absolutely detect if someone is lying to you. This thing could cause more problems than it solves. There's good reason why this technology is not admissible in court. The video on the company's website is quite entertaining, though, catching old Slick Willie in a lie about Monica Lewinsky. –
Well.. SAM works ok, and call recording isnt bad, but Skype Call Recorder for Mac is alot better, and there are loads of better apps out there for PC Skype recording, inclusing podcast recording software. Me and Jose couldn't find the Lie Detector anywhere, and you do have to buy it; apparently there is a 10 day free trial but in the download we found there didnt have the lie detector in it... so we couldnt record it. It also crashed Jose's Skype and meant it had to be reinstalled, and also restarted our computers automatically when uninstalling... so overall, not the best piece of software, but if you do find it and download it (Id try the trial (if it exists) before you buy, then do tell us what its like!
