OK, what are you guys' best idea for a laptop up to $1500?

Video should be decent and thats about the only stipulation except for the $1500 cap.

Yep, Newegg PWNS!

Are you thinking about getting it, or is it for someone else?

Might be getting my mom this:

It would be for my brother.  I was looking at some, but I like to get as many opinions as I can.

That pink laptop is cool, but I don't think my brother would appreciate pink very much heh

Well, for AMD, there's this:

As for Intel, there's this:

I don't know a whole lot about computers, so sorry if they're bad. *shrugs* However, I do know that that site does give you a whole lot of good parts cheaper than  other sites (Ex. Voodoo, Alienware, etc.) and some fairly expansive part choices.

I have done business with CyberPower... good intentions, but they use very cheap labor and parts, so things tend to break a lot.  I don't know about their laptop, but I have a friend who bought a PC at about the same time I did, and he had to send it back to get a new motherboard for one reason or another.  Mine came with the wrong video card, so they sent me the right one w/o me having to send the old one back.

In the end you end up with what you wanted, but it may take some hassles to get there.  I will say though, that their intentions are always very good and they try to make you happy.
