Suse and mandriva, i excluded live cds id probably get some more results if i included them. I have used Mandriva when it was mandrake what didnt you like about it kooldrew.
I found it not to bad some spots were still bumpy but that was at least a year and half ago.
Also I hate both Mandriva (tried in the Mandrake days) and Fedora. I have never tried PCLinuxOS, but don't have any intention to anytime soon.
I use PCLinuxOS. It's geared about being user-friendly and stable.
Positives: you don't have to do as much configuration (compared to more popular distributions), the community support is excellent (it's a community driven distribution) and the hardware detection is above average.
Negatives: due to the fact that it's built by a small team, some packages are slightly outdated. Some solutions to problems are still unknown.
It's probably best for people who don't like tinkering with their system.
Edit: PCLinuxOS was also used for the official Amarok LiveCD. This means it's recognised by the Amarok development team:
Quote:
Amarok Live is a LiveCD based on PCLinuxOS, created by Texstar, which itself is a LiveCD distro, mastered with the mklivecd scripts created by Jaco Greeff and currently maintained by Tom Kelly.
