I know this can be a little late but coming soon is the macromedia 8 family. Is anyone going to get any software from the macromedia 8 family when it comes out like Dreamweaver 8, Studio 8 etc? Anyway it says that the 8 family will ship in mid-September. http://www.macromedia.com/

Is this software easier to use than Microsoft Frontpage when viewing in the perspective of web design?
Easier? No. Why? Because it needs a much more technical person to handle it. Of course, it is much more advanced than Frontpage. Why don't you download a trial version and see for yourself?

Not always you might need a what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG) editor is good as you will see before you put it up and if youre a web-coder dreameaver wouild be good as you can do things a normal txt editor will not.
er... no.. the whole point of learning HTML is so you can do more.. using a WYSIWYG editor won't help you make more.. if you're good with css then you'll be able to make things faster and more complex than you ever could with a WYSIWYG.
Have you tried DW8, kahrn? If you have, you will have seen that Macromedia have added much more support for these things, although it still doesn't add up to the capabilites of Notepad.

Dreamweaver is the standard tool used at gcse level for web design, so yeah I have used it.. but most people used the WYSIWYG features, whereas I just used the coding editor in it.. I didn't use any of it's features.. so the quality of the site would of been as good as if I did it in any other text editor.. and not only that, but dreamweaver (by defualt) appends the tag it thinks you are using when you are coding. which is very annoying.
