How bad does Microsoft have Apple iPhone envy? I don't know, but a clever video announcing the release of a Microsoft oFone imagines a world where a demented Microsoft attempts to go toe to toe with Apple in the mobile device space.

According to a May 1 report on the Seattle Post Intelligencer Web site Microsoft showed the spoof video during the recent Mobile and Embedded Developer Conference in Las Vegas.

Quote:
* Multi-touch keyless interface
* "Quick Fetch Plus" feature that lets the oFone double as a boomerang
* Supports three-way mobile pong games
* Ability to receive o-mail

It's an official video too

Who knew Microsoft had a sense of humor?

Microsoft MUST attempt to top Apple to stay "slightly" ahead in the market. Apple has definitely been stepping on Microsoft's feet. Not just in the Cell Phone/PDA industry, but also in the computer industry as well.

Microsoft finally has some competition, wont you say?
