ATTENTION:
I do realize that there are more powerful computers, but this is a home made one that won't cost you $10000+

As a realization, I have noticed that Intel or AMD could easily makeone of the most powerful computers ever made, in fact they're almostthere.  As of right now, both companies have one majordisadvantage and one big advantage.  Allow me to give a backgroundreference:
(links of what I'm talking about are at the bottom)

My idea is the possiblity to have 32 cores in 1 computer.  In theearly 2000s, Intel invented Hyper Threading.  Although this istechnicaly a single core feature, it acts as 2 cores.
As everyone knows, both Intel and AMD have accomplished creating quad cores.
The company Tyan has made AMD motherboards that hold up to 4processors.  And yes, I mean processors, not cores.  As faras I know, there is no such thing as an Intel mobo that supports 4processors.

So, if AMD accomplishes Hyper Threading or if Intel gets a 4 processorboard and brings HT to their quad cores, then either company couldaccomplish making one computer contain a total of 32 cores, or 32separate processing threads.

BTW, these 4 processor boards hold up to 64GB of RAM and contain atleast 1 PCI-X slot.  Imagine the power of a computer likethis.  Sure HT never made that much of a difference but to have 16cores each using HT will be a noticable difference.  The future ofsupercomputing is nearly here.  Its even amazing how one computercan have a total of 8 processing threads.

4 Processor Motherboard
+ 4 of these Xeons or Opterons (not yet available)
+ Hyper Threading
= 32 total processing threads, $6987.95 (USD, not including shipping)
