Thousands of myspace editors all over the place (just do a search for "myspace editor"). MySpace has decided to add this tool to their site. Probably not good news for those 'myspace editor sites.'
In typical MySpace fashion, the MySpace Profile Editor only works properly in Internet Explorer. Not that it matters: point the MySpacers at this and they won’t go looking elsewhere. It’s certainly not a case of undermining external providers: it seems natural for MySpace to offer this service, and it has no business agreements with the MySpace layout sites. But it certainly gives the widget makers something to think about - perhaps this could even be a route to getting more external widgets on MySpace pages through a gatekeeper system.
I think myspace are so peeved off at the amount of ad plastered profile editors gaining money off heir backs... but they dont seem to have the right idea - besides "toms" example is very very... poor.
The first myspace editors started showing up December 2004. Starting as a simple tool to change the colors of your Myspace profile. Later becoming more advanced, with a live view of your profile as your making the changes. Many 'myspace editor' owners recieved large amounts of traffic from these tools. Later came more things such as contact tables, online now icons, and other little things to pimp out your profile. It's getting harder and harder to make a very popular myspace help site now a days, and I think this new editor on Myspace might make that even harder. We will see. Keep pimpin' your profile out at pimpmyspace.org!

This new editor has a striking resemblance to this pre-existing tool, if I do say so myself.
