According to an article on BetaNews, 22 percent of installs checked through the Windows Genuine Advantage Program are showing up to be non-genuine. Here's the link: BetaNews

You can check if you are running genuine windows, by running web based WGA.

My home computer (the one im on now) is a genuine Windows XP BUT the one I use at work is a copied version of Windows XP with that dodgy 60second start up screen and annoying star in the bottom right corner...very irritating!

I was told by the guy that did it for me that this version isn't genuine. But it passes the test so it must be.

mne is genuine but my old PC wasnt.

Sadly when i installed XP onto it the whole thing cocked up lol. Graphics or sound card didnt work lol.
