Tyan is the BEST server-motherboard manufacturer. Their design and architecture cannot be matched by their competitors.

Tyan are amazing boards. THere are new 8-Way boards from them which support PCI E 16x & AGP 8x. That is good for upgraders which want to keep there AGP Graphic's Cards for now. :)

Well, for me, the moment the X800 XL is out on the ATI website, I'm going PCI-E 16x all the way.

By June, the ATI Radeon X900 XT PE will be out & the 6900 Ultra.

So, both X850XT PE & 6800 Ultra cards will go down in price a little

Well, this is why I am only investing in a $299 X800 XL.

By spring time, ATI will have there R520 core & NVIDIA with the NV47.

You be the judge

ATI's R520
- 90nm
- Entirely New Core Design
- SM3 Support
- GDDR4 (1.2Ghz+)
- 48 Arithmetic Logic Units (ALUs) that can be assigned to either Pixel or Vertex   Processing Depending on Load.
- Each ALU to Perform One Vector & One Scalar Operation Per Clock Cycle.
- 96 Shader Operations Per Clock.

NVIDIA's NV47
Updated Version of the GeForce 6800 series NV40 Core.
24 Pixel Pipelines.

I can't get anymore info on this.

If the Opteron 250 can outbeat a Xeon @ 3.6Ghz, think of the unprecedented power of an Opteron 850 series.
