I highly doubt it has anything to do wtih the pagefile. Especially if you have 2GB of RAM. Not even BF2 is limited at 2GB or higher.
So exactly what games are you playing? Also the fact that you said \"now my games are smoother\" to reducing the size of the pagefile tells me it is all in your head. Show some actual numbers.
Also don't take offence from me saying it is all in your head. I have just seen tons of people in the past claim faster performance from doing things that would do nothing. A couple examples are the IRQ8Priority and IOPageLockLimit registry tweaks. Niether of these registry keys are even looked at by Windows. You can even do a strings anaylisis and see so. Yet, people claimed they saw a huge performance increase. Kind of funny, isn't it? The recent SuperFetch tweak is another example of a tweak that does nothing. However tons of people were claiming they experiences performance increases.
The boottom line, is that saying \"It felt smoother\" says nothing at all. Most of the time it is in the persons head. Back up your claim with some numbers.

any game it dont matter. is what its doing is i see the HDD lite kick on a few sec and my FPS plumit. soon as the HDD lite kicks off my FPS return . This only happens when my paging file is on. 200 MB or 2 GB it dont matter any paging file and it dose this. Im runing a 250 gig 16 meg cache maxtor and a 250 gig 8 meg cache segate both sata.
Paging does happen during games (the system evicts junk to make more space for your game, something it cannot do with the page file off) but losing performance due to it is not normal.
This discussion is about the effects of 2GB of RAM on system performance, not about the paging file in Windows. Please get back on topic, or feel free to make a new topic.
