The Xbox 360 is going to be a great console,if you connect it up to HD Kit this console comes into a league of its own.
Also Xbox live is so much better with the 360,you can have some cracking games.
If anybody does not like the price of the 360 games, then by NTSC region from the states you can get cheaper and most are region free .
Seems like microsoft finally have woken to what the gamer wants.
But lets not forget our old Xbox's still a great console.

PS have lots of Jap games ( animaish and the likes). Most are first party developers. On the other hand, Xbox has lots of third party developers, and far more capable of handling  and showcasing better garphics. So if a game title is multiflatform, expect it to look good with xbox. Better grphx, better AI, and environment effects.

Yeah thought this was a compairison for current consoles.

IMO the PS2 is better for people who prefer to play solo games and is perfect for it.  The Xbox is better for people that like online competition and is perfect for that.

There are cons and pros for both systems, the biggest thing xbox can't compare with though is the selection of PS and PS2 games out there.

Personally I just did the rational thing and bought both of them.

Well like people have said the XBox does have much better graphics and XBox LIVE just pwns. But personally I'm a PS2 man. Mostly because of the wider selection of games, but also because it is easier to transport, and I find the controller much easier to use.

I agree the XBox 360 is just pure pwnage. But the PS3 is out soon.

PS2 has online features too, though. Never tried xbox live but my cousin spends a lot of time playing battlefield 2 for PS2 over the internet. Also, I don't know about xbox but PS2 can play games not online for PS2 but PS and doubles as a DVD player. I got a PS when I was 7, I'm biased, can you tell?

PC owns all other systems, anyway.

This debate could go on forever, although Im not a fan of the Ps2 only to the repair or mod,but I think the Ps2 appeals to the younger generation as it has alot of games suitable ,the Xbox on the other hand is a more Adult console with alot more games not suitable for our juniors.

The Xbox has proved itself on the modding scene,by turning itself into a media centre cable  of loads of great things only downside is that it can be used to break copyright, which is a bad thing.

Although I own both consoles,I would have to go for the Xbox

I agree, that the Xbox is a more "mature" console, most people on this forum own one
