Ubisoft has announced that it will release a handheld video game designed to help users kick the cigarette habit.
Allen Carr

sEasyway to Stop Smoking is scheduled for November release on theNintendo DS. The game  is based on the smoking cessation program of thesame name, which currently features books, DVDs and clinics. Accordingto an Ubisoft press release, over 10 million people have alreadyavailed themselves of the Carr method. Ubisoft exec Christian Salomon commented:

I think no game can stop one from not smoking. Smoking is a habbit that can be prevented only by the strong will of the smoker. Or maybe heavy health problems.

Anyway, we'll see how it will turn out. It might be helpful to some.

It's worth a try but I know that I've had some great games that kept my mind so occupied that I lost track for hours and hours. But of course, smoking is an addiction....
could a game get rid of smoking all together? It makes me wonder...
