Some of you may have heard about some recent major problems with certain antivirus software – or may have even suffered from those problems.
I hope that you found a solution for it and that you managed to get your PC up and running again.
I am sorry if you encountered any difficulties with your antivirus software. For those of you who have not considered Norton lately: Maybe now it would be a good time to take the Norton Challenge and see how we have improved! Check this out - http://www.takethenortonchallenge.com/ See how we have enhanced our performance. And just give it a try, there's a money back guarantee!
Yeah... I have a suggestion. Look at Kaspersky's software. That (and Spyware Doctor) were the ONLY programs of about 20 (including Norton) that I tried that could actually fix a problem. Even the highly recommended AVG couldn't do anything. Kaspersky is somewhat confusing at first and it is a bit resource consuming, but I found the Norton series to be unbeleivably worse for resources.
After uninstalling it, I noticed I've had significantly better performance with a flood of bad viruses than having none with Norton installed. Also, when uninstalling, I noticed I had nearly 60+MB freed and there were still files from it scattered all over the place!
At least Norton does a great job at preventing and finding viruses. All it really needs is to actually do something about them when they're there and to use much, much less resources. I would rather have the viruses than this. The company is old and well paid, I expect it will get back on it's feet like it did 10 years ago.
I would reccomend ESET's NOD 32 anti virus which reccently scored 71% on AV Compartives (//www.av-comparatives.org) Retrospective/ProActive Test unlike Norton which only scored 35%.
Anyone who is considering buying an anti virus programe should check out //www.av-comparatives.org first.
