Redesign

As you can see the iVirtua forums are going through a bit of redesign, through this time we ask you to be patient if any errors occur.

We have decided to re-design the site in stages so as users can get used to it, so please don't be put off by the design yet as it's not complete.

We'd love to hear your feedback though.

I like the panel on the left but some of the text is to big, like the "logout".

thanks for your comments, We decided to make the logged in panel (below the banner) have bigger text to catch peoples attention. However if people (apart from yourself) believe it is to big then we will change it acordingly.

Glad you redesigning it, it is not my place to say but I am glad you are improving on the old design.

Look forward to seeing it finished!

ps/ looks like the signatures are missing, although I am sure you know that already!

thanks for the nice comments, its still got a bit more to go but we really want to get rid of all the clutter and make it a much nicer environment to browse through and post.

Concerning 'sigs' were debating if we should bring these back or not, what do you think?

Yep, sigs clutter things up, but we were going to remove avatars, until we saw how sexy lucas's avatar was and we decided to keep them, and they do give that little sense of identit.

Signatures disrupt the reading of topics and dont offer any more information, and the staff rank for staff is shown on the left of the post out of the way and in profiles anyway

Notice how easy threads read withour sigs and big blue windows; and notice the digg, technorati erc, and edit functions are cleaner, easier to find and the fast edit system works perfectly now!

i think the redesign looks really good! very professional!

the silver fits in really well with the site!

one thing is that some of the posts look quite long, because their width has been decreased. other than that, it's excellent!

Not too bad so far, just the left side bar text is a bit too big for my liking, otherwise, I like the gradients and it looks professionally done.

Not bad I like the new skin but I want to know where that game server section is that we talked about

I think you guys need to check it out in Firefox because the columns aint matching up.

In some cases the columns do not match up; we are aware of this

Although it isnt much of an issue, we are getting round to fixing it!
