Is recycling worth the effort? in The Great Debates!
I recycle using my kerb-it box but often my box is just left on collection days and it's kinda dis-heartening and making me think twice about using the damn thing.

Other than that I turn everything off when not in use and almost every light in my house is an energy bulb and the council are going to fit a combi-boiler and double glazing soon so I am trying.

- Firewall Help/Advice - in Software
Thank you soo much for the advice Sam (yet again) as always I really appreciate it a great deal

After reading through what you wrote I purchased Outpost Firewall Pro and I have to say that it's really easy to use (which is what I wanted) and I do feel somewhat safer online.

Now that I have a decent firewall do you think it would be safe to uninstal the likes of Windows Defender and spybot?

Thank you for the link to the BBC site I have printed that off and have showed it to my neighbours mother and she didn't seem to happy and is going to have words with her sons.

I don't really go on any sites that I would've though something could happen on but hey you never do know do you?

I do have a netgear router but I don't use it because my neighbours nick my signal even when I use WEP encription...so yeah.

So the XP firewall will do just fine?

- Firewall Help/Advice - in Software
I'm not too sure if this is the right forum section for this (mods please move the post to the right section if needed please) but I need you guys advice when it comes to firewalls.

Can anyone tell me a good free firewall as I have been told time and time again that I need one and i've just been relying on the XP one.

Any help is appreciated greatly.

Thanks

- Lee

Aldi, Lidl or Netto? in General Discussion, including Off Topic, Current Affairs
Aldi just for the reason that it's over the road from where I live

Don't buy much from there just milk, bread and the odd blank DVD/CD-R.

Crack down on US mod chip sellers in Gaming
Personally I think it's just Nintendo being greedy like normal, they have done this sort of things in the past (SNES Mod Chips) and they still got out.

They should embrace the mod chips I mean look at how well the PS1 did and that had the most mods than any other console
