On a need to know basis in Hardware, Internet, Networking, Comms and Security
It should work fine. That is, if the CPU that comes with your HP is a socket 939 CPU. Also, I know you didn't ask this, but I would definitely choose a different power supply. Getting a Raidmax is just asking for trouble. Something like a Fortron AX450-PN would be more then enough.

MP3 Player in Hardware, Internet, Networking, Comms and Security
I have a 5GB Rio Carbon and its been sitting on my desk for months collecting dust because it broke. One time I was just transfering stuff to it and it hasn't worked since.

WTF, after posting this reply I decided to try to get it to work and guess what? It just decides to work. Well, I guess I no longer have a broken MP3 player.

Your anti-virus of choice in Software
When it comes to free anti-virus the main choices are avast!, AntiVir, AVG, and AOL. Antivir does not have email scanning and avast! and AOL are heavier on system resources. AVG fits all of your criteria except high detection rate. Its got the worst out of all of them. So, it's really whatever is more impotant to you. If you really want something meet your criteria you will have to buy NOD32 or something.
