Should the games industry bemoving backwards to go forwards? in The Great Debates!
For me, I'm getting rather tired of the gaming industries making emulated versions of old games from the yesterdecade. Look at the games on Sonic Gems and Sonic Mega Collection, we'll soon be seeing those games AGAIN on the Wii virtual console service.
Now, if there could be online multiplayer for 2P on Sonic the hedgehog 2, count me in But then again we have Gens for that...

Firefox is Crap in The Great Debates!
I'm a firefox fan, and I don't have too many complains with it. What I like about it the most is its tweakability and customization features. The browser is so ungodly tweakable you can run stuff that is out of the HTML standard, possibly overloading servers It has always seemed faster than IE for me,  and I don't have to patch it every week with some M$ patch, <=/ sorry MS HQ, I'm sick of downloading patches..guh. Here's what I DON'T like about Firefox: Load time, 10 seconds for one browser to load is out of the question for me, IE takes no more than 3 seconds to load on my pc, but I don't use it. Secondly, I don't know how why this is a problem, but as the download list increases from past downloads, the process of downloading a file is absurd, your browser basically goes into "Freeze mode" for about 5-10 seconds. Thirdly, it's a memory hog. After you've used Firefox anywhere from an hour to all day, you'll discover it's eventually taking up atleast 200,000k (yes, 200mb) in your windows task manager, EVEN after closing all those unused tabs. I've yet to find a working fix for it, but for the time being, I'm not complaining. ANYWAY, and my opinion on Opera.. It's a good browser, don't get me wrong, loads fairly quickly, but I can't seem to find that many tweaks for it, and it doesn't like gmail that much..go figure. I have no further rants about Opera.

xD Sorry to rant again.. *didn't even notice I replied in this topic a while back, until now..such a n00b.. -_-;*

HOW TO BUY A PS3 in Gaming
=o here's my recommenation on how to purchase a PS3, wait until next summer until the gaming system reaches a decent price; $600 is outlandish for a videogaming system in my opinion; I mean, its pc like capabilities are nice and all, but I already have a pc to do that type of business..

WinXP Running on Playstation 3 in Gaming
I believe the same thing can be done with the Xbox; I mean, it's basically an entire computer itself; I saw one person run 2k on it flawlessly even demonstrating OpenGL games and Divx video play back.

Boot Camp in Microsoft / Windows
I see boot camp as a great advantage for mac users, however, there's always going to be a minor hardware bug somewhere, thus the BSOD appears; I'm not much of a mac fan, the interfaced is just oversimplified imo, I get easily lost in it @.@ I'd rather work in a command prompt all day

AVG not to be free anymore? Dispite rumours it's still free! in Microsoft / Windows
While I did like the free AVG and all, it got to the point where it would stop updating its virus update database, period. This happened right after I upgraded to the new AVG. It's still a good virus protection suite for many, but I just find Avast to be a little better; it's harder to use, but protects quite a bit more than AVG, plus it's also free, just have to get a registration key which is also free to acquire via registration e-mail.

Not trying to force anyone to use it, but it's still nice if anyone wants to give it a try

Firefox is Crap in The Great Debates!
I use both Firefox and Opera; Firefox is quite possibly the most tweakable browser I've ever used, and tweaking software/hardware <3 is my passion. Opera is good for multiple downloads, seeing as downloads take ridiculously long to appear, for some odd, ballistic reason in Firefox (I hate having to clear that cursed list..). IE is the big, fat security hole and always will be. I ONLY use it where it is needed; say like, on www.mapleglobal.com; it's an IE only site.  If I need to use a site that requires Active X, and if I think it's safe, I go to IE and let a rip. Ever since I've started to use alternate browsers, I've been spyware/adware free for a year now Even taking extreme measures (installing spyware/adware protection) it seems IE has still let a few critters in. Here's my prioritiy list for browsers..

1. Firefox = (Fastest browser imo , extremely tweakable, but has a nasty memory leak and sluggish download list)

2. Opera = (Stable browser and allows for quick, multiple downloads, though has a minor memory leak as well.)

3. IE = (Keeps good track of the memory it uses, but opens a huge security hole for hackers, spyware/adware, viruses, etc. to enter)

I don't care how many times you update IE, there will always be a security hole. Do you ever see Firefox or Opera let this nonsense in? I know I haven't..atleast, not yet.

EDIT: Your siggy made me crack up by the way, konspakatak XD

Which next-gen system? in Gaming
I"m more interested in the Wii than any other console. Sure, it's console specs aren't up to snuff in comparison to the competiting consoles,  but it does what I want it to. IMHO, the 360 and PS3 are nothing more than uber-tweaked videogame systems with additional features which I could easily do with my PC. Nintendo has kept me happy since the NES; Sony was okay with the PS1, then when I tried out the PS2, I didn't acquire much taste for it. The Xbox has too many adult like games (I'm 17, but I have weird tastes m'kay?). Gamecube has, yes, you might call them "kiddy games", but I obsess with anything from the Sonic franchise to Super Smash Bros. Melee. StarFox is good too. I know this is not a well defined review at the time, but yeah..I'm busy... o.o

Hi there in iVirtua Members Introductions
Hey guys, I guess you could say I'm quite new to the site; I didn't know about it until, umm..5 minutes ago? Anywho, my names Pashune, real name's Dusty. I'm 17 years old, I'm from the U.S., and I like to spend my leisure time either drawing or writing synthesized music; and sometimes RP'ing. I have a bit of an obsession with the "Sonic the hedgehog" based games, as well as, you guessed it, Anime. >.< I hope that you guys will accept me into the forums...
