I understand what you mean, but I define art as the product of thought, and inspiration something that makes us think. Whilst a light turning on and off in a room may be inspiring, I still don't believe it's the product of enough thought ot be classed as art. It's as though it's stopped off halfway along the line. I guess what I'm sayign is that it's all to easy. On the spot: here and now, my turner prize nominated piece of art: A pile of chewing gun, chewed by a thousand immigrants placed in front of Buckingham palace, named "Chewed up and spat out: immigration in today's society"
There, that's enough to make people think, and it took my a couple of seconds. But does it deserve to be a nominee for the turner prize? I think not.
It;s a good point. I remember Red Alert coming out and being an 18. With pixel people, it's difficult to make it particularly violent lol. The worst it got was people suddenly turning one shade of red, and they were only about 5 millimetres tall anyway...
it just seems to have a certain 'wtf' factor about it.
Well put lol.
However, the point I was making about uprading is that i's cheaper, if you time it correctly, than having to buy a new console merely because the games are now obsolete. Who still makes playstation one games afterall??
I bought my graphics card for £80, and it can run any game that's out atm. compare that to the price of, for argument's sake the £280 x box 360 available from argos.
Elder scrolls IV I think is one of the best pc Games around atm. Another good one I've found is Dark Messiah, though it's probably not one of the best, I'd recommend it for those who like to follow a strict quest
Kids younger than 11 shouldn't really have tv's or computer's in their room anyway, that is in a typical shaped house. In a house like a bungalow, where a lot of the rooms tie in with each other, I'd say it would probably be ok. There's less room and a more open feel. A slightly obscure point I know, but in a 3 floor house, with the child at the top, on a computer or tv all day, there's a slight anti-social element...
Personally I use AMD Athlon. Not the highest spec AMD processer around but it's fine for waht I want. I think people know the name intel far more than they do AMD, but at the same time, there probably isn't enough of a difference to rank one against the other
I think some video games have been taken too far. It's an easy selling point. If a game is said to be one of the most violent ever seen, people will buy it to check the hype. On the same note, it's become a bit ridiculous
