I still find it scary that people still buy the product with this knowledge. Advertising for it is everywhere too...

I think I'll stick with my "third-party" security systems .

Toshiba Satellite 1900-303.
40Gig HDD.
Intel Pentium 4, 2.0 GHz.
756MB RAM.
ATI Mobility Radeon M6, 32MB VRAM. (OLD!).
1024x768 max screen ...

I agree. Pircy seems to be a bad thing to blame poor sales on. Some people won't want to upgrade, and others won't be able to upgrade.

Your anti-virus of choice in Software
For my Windows box I use Norton... and really dislike it too. Takes ages to start up and has difficulty removing things. The only reason why I use it is that my dad always buys 3-License versions.
