The info on the web does not have much, but you have all. :)
I know a guy that?s working on the long horn beta project. He tells me there going to make a 64 and 32 bit edition. Its going to be a upgrade to windows XP. So no wiping of the hard drive. I guess windows XP X64 is just a sample was never planed on being released. We will see windows long horn 64 instead. Feb of 2006 is the 32 bit edition may of 2006 on the 64 bit edition. Microsoft has asked all large software manufactures to began production on 64 bit applications in march of 2006. I guess the duel core CPU will be made by Intel and AMD and will be main stream in late 2005. The new long horn 32 bit and 64 bit will have Direct X 10 and made to support duel core technology.? So I?m told The new duel core CPU offers a 21 % to 36% increase in overall gaming performance. There is a 13 to 27 % decrease in bottlenecks I only know this because I installed a door in his home and saw a huge computer room With a PC that runs 3 monitors at once. We got talking he said that he?s bound by law not to show the software till the beta is released for public in late 2005. There seems to be trouble interrogating the new duel core technology into the software. There a long ways off from solving the problem yet.
Keep in mind this is from the horses mouth DO NOT \" \"me on it.
yes and no. The plan was to open up for the new technology coming out. With duel core offering a new market to AMD and INTEL and duel core and PCI-E giving a chance for Microsoft to stretch there new found mussels. Its 2005 its time for a change. I think computers will take a monumental step in the right direction. AGP has been around for a long long time. Intel?s chip structure is old as dirt. Windows XP and its 32 bit software has been with us for 7 years. In computer terms its a dinosaur. DDR has been out for 7 or 8 years to. DDR 3 opens up a new market for mother boards, just like PCI-E and duel core. Even 64 bit. This has opened up a race. Intel and AMD will rush to put out there new line of CPU?s. Intel has been behind in the race up to this point so if intel wants a part in the future they will have to amaze the public. They know this. It?s a mater of future survival now. Mother board companies put on a new board every month and have more the last year. Just think what will happen in the next years time. Yes my friends we live in a exciting time.
