Dude there is no way in h**l that half life 2 or doom 3 uses the full poistential of a 6800 GT little less 2 of them on SLI. My god its pointless ATM. In a few years when games grow another 50% i can see SLI being nice. h**l doom 3 has a 60 FPS cap on it. When i run the doom 3 stress test im runing 275 FPS to 350 FPS.

I have another thought, I think SLI will greatly benefit gaming, but not so much in the performance category but in the quality gaming consistency.
In other words, with SLI you should not run into any slow downs at all or if you do, then it will be very minimal.
All graphic cards run into some sort of slow down, due to the fact that they don't handle many things moving at the same time, where as SLI may have a better chance in this.
