First of all, could you specify what anti-spyware programs you have? Second, what OS are you running?

Well, I'm going to assume you use windows:

First of all, get something like CC Cleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/),
This will clean lots of useless files, and may clean some of your spyware/whatever, then get AdAware, Spybot S&D, and Microsoft Anti Spyware (beta).

Also, use a more secure browser, like firefox or opera.

I highly do not recommend using Microsoft AntiSpyware. Stick with Ad-aware more than Spybot. Also, get a more secure firewall. (Sygate Personal Firewall)

Hey kahrn, that cclcleaner thing looks good. But, does it take up a lot of memory? And are you sure it itself isnt spyware?

Well I think it's pretty good. It's similar to spybot search and destroys tea timer.
It can monitor the system for critical changes, and stop them. it's more of a prevention program than a cure.

I don't see why others hate it, though... it's the best thing ms has done since... ....the begining of time.

Microsoft Anti-Spyware is the best of it's kind.  it has thew best detection rate and has real good real-time protection.

Here is a Spyware removal guide that may help.

Yeah, stick with AdAware, but also get MS anti-spy and Spybot.
