P2 Entertainment, formerly known as Perpetual Entertainment, hasceased development on Star Trek Online according to multiple sources.
WarCry is reportingthat the license and the game's content have been transferred toanother San Francisco Bay Area development studio. Perpetual originallyacquired the license for a Star Trek MMO back in 2004.
P2 Entertainment will continue to license their technology platform and refocus on the casual games market.
Last year, Perpetual was suedby Kohnke Communications for breach of contract related to a PRcampaign for Gods and Heroes. The company reportedly canceled thatproject reportedly in order to focus on Star Trek Online.
