Ok I have another suggestion, this time it is with reference to the "Newsletter" feature.

Allow users to choose an alternative email address to receive newsletters. I would rather have my newsletters sent to a different email address to the one I signed-up with (but I would rather keep the same email address for use on the forums).

The "alternative email' feature could be configured to send out a verification email first to the alternative email address, to ensure that spammers don't screw up the system.

The Newsletter System will be in iVirtua 3.1, and you can subscribe now, by clicking newsletter above.

Please see here: http://forum.ivirtuaforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=503
It is intergrated in to the member database, so Members can subscribe and they recieve a confirmation email to that address. They can alsi unsubscribe easily by clicking a link in the newsletter or clicking above on Newsletter.
The first newsletter will be sent out when iVirtua 3.1 is released.

You will not be able to use a alternative email address for Security Reasons.

Okay, here is another suggestion: Music and Movie Reviews

Since this is an entertainment forums, doing reviews for other entertainment areas might be a good idea. I wouldn't mind reviewing a couple of my favourite bands/albums, if we can use them to promote the site. Perhaps we could encourage everyone to write their own review for any band, and submit it. There could be a reward for the best-written article.

All these ideas sound good. But Im not too sure about the dating thing. It is possible that there could be such people as pedophiles and stuff attracted to the site considering there could be alot of young people 14 and maybe even less on the site.

I don't think the dating idea is being implemented anyway - we abandoned that idea a long time ago... I wouldn't mind an online radio station thing though....

And reviewing music and movies might attract more members - as well as more reviewers.

As you can see, the new top bar pushes the main features, although it can always be changed...

Any Articles and Reviews would be a great addition to the community, but the case is just finding people to write them. Feel free to to write any you want!

BF2142 maybe, I don't have it but It's pretty new and already selling in the hundred thousands...

call the server www.ivirtuaforums.com and you'r set!

(additional option would be, you Sam, buy the game, and send me the key, then I can administrate the server ingame...right now I can't afford to buy it myself, I yet borrow it from a friend and administrate with your key...)

Lots of people are playing Counter Strike (source or otherwise) and I'd also consider starting a Battlefield 1942 server, simply because it has a larger userbase than Battlefield 2142.

Battlefield 1942 does not run on windows Vista and is thus not a futuresave option.

I suggest games that have a future of some years ahead, additionaly it's advantageous if there aren't too many servers for it, yet a demand. That fits exactly on BF2142.
