THE MODESTLY NAMED Super Talent Technology, whichmanufactures DRAM and flash memory storage stuff, has launched a new DDR3-18004GB kit, or two times 2GB, as it were.
The new product will make up part of STTs Project X family, and marketingdirector Joe James gushes that “while competitors are only able to produce 4GBkits up to DDR3-1600, we’ve engineered a kit that performs at elevated clockspeeds while still supporting aggressive latencies.”
According to the company spin, Project X kit is made up of Micron DRAMchips, all stress tested in matched pairs on a dual channel Asus Striker IIExtreme motherboard.
The company also reckons that its new “extreme cooling” method makes use ofdouble the surface area and 106 per cent more aluminium mass than other heatspreaders, which purportedly makes for better heat dispersion.
The new offering is being flogged with a lifetime warranty and will set backany potential buyers about $500.
